The launch of the NHHC in 1945 was the conception of professional trainer Arnold Hustler and his good friend TS Heaton-Fairclough.

Welcome to the Northern Hackney Horse Club

Their belief was to encourage Hackney enthusiasts to once again take up breeding and exhibiting the best type of Hackney Horse or Pony after the war, and both donated £50 to set the club up and running of it.

The NHHC Show began as a one day show, then in 1994 evolved into a two-day show enabling the inclusion of a variety of driving classes for all breeds.

Making it a classic weekend for all driving enthusiasts, with Qualifying

classes for, Osborne, Victoria Foods Hackney private drive, & Drivers Dream Championships, and is now held at The Showground, Bakewell, Derbyshire.

The NHHC Show commemorated its 60th Anniversary in 2005.
